2008 Digital Orthophotography... Color or Black & White Imagery Now Available! |

Obtained in late April 2008, Muskegon County is currently updating its digital orthophotography. This photography will be multi-spectral in nature, with final deliverables being: Panchromatic (B/W), Color (R/G/B), and Near Infra-red. Additionally, the entire County will now be covered with a 0.5 inch pixel resolution at a scale of 1" = 100'. |

2001 Digital Orthophotography |

Obtained April 27, 2001, Muskegon County's most recent photography was flown at two altitudes, one for the urbanized/developed areas and one for the rural areas. This photography is designed to meet National Map Accuracy Standards for Aerial Photography at the 1" = 100' and 1" = 200' scales respectively, and was obtained in a monochrome (black/white) format. These photos, in their digital format, have been spatially corrected and are seamless for the entire county, allowing for utilization within the County's GIS.Copies of this photography is avaliable in both digital and printer versions. |

1995 Aerial Photography |

Obtained May 5, 1995, this set of photography covers the entire county at a scale of 1"=200 feet, with each photo sheet representing approximately one (1) section of land (one square mile). These photos are portrayed in an enlarged mylar (film) format. Selected ares of the City of Muskegon and Norton Shores have also been enlargements made up to a 1"=100' scale. These photographs were used for several years as the base layer of tax map photo overlays.Copies of these photos may be obtained through a blue-print process. |

Obtained in November of 1981, this set of photography covers the entire county at a scale of 1"=400 feet, with each photo sheet representing approximately four (4) square miles.These photos are portrayed in an enlarged mylar (film) format, and reproductions in a blue-print format can be obtained. |
